How to import transactions and troubleshoot issues

The Process menu has these options for import:

 

If you are having issues importing:

Look for odd characters such as apostrophes in names.  Excel reads anything with an apostrophe as a text field.

Often, doing one of the following gets rid of format issues that are hard to identify and permits you to import without errors.

  • Download a "fresh" export file - or -
  • Open a new blank file and then copy and paste the information from the file you are having trouble importing.
