Error when posting Batches

Issue:  Some Customers are unable to close batches since the 4.4.0 rollout.  When closing the batch - they receive the error of:

"Failed to close batch: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at CNAccountingWS.ValidateUser(String APIPass, Int32 DatabaseId, Int32 POL_Id, String UserName, String Password) — End of inner exception stack trace ---"

 

Environment:  Customer must be in a Diocese that has ConnectNow Accounting Globally rolled out and has CNA integration configured.  The user that is attempting to close the batch, has a ConnctNow Family Suite userID but does not have a ConnectNow Accounting userID.

 

Resolution:  TBD (ParishSOFT internal JIRA - CNFS-4843 and CNFS-4845)  

The resolution for this issue CNFS-4845 will be deployed tonight (7/11/2017) in a hot fix and incorporated with the remaining releases.

The hotfix resolved the issue - this has been fixed.
