LOGOSCONNECT.COM CONTENT MANAGEMENT
This new release contains a much more powerful and robust Content Management System for Logos Connect. The website has a new layout that is much more attractive, intuitive, and easier to use.

Please follow the steps below to customize the content and logo at your LogosConnect.com presence:

STEP 1 - LOGIN
`Go to your organization’s Logos Connect portal URL and login using a staff account created in Logos Dashboard.

STEP 2 – CLICK ON MANAGE TAB  
Once logged in, click on the Manage Tab that appears in the top left of the site, and choose Content.

STEP 3 – SELECT CONTENT FOR EDITING
There are two methods for selecting the content you desire to edit:

 

Option 1: Manage Content Selector
In the Managing-Content navigation bar, click on either the Images or Rich Text link. A new bar will appear below listing one or more areas within that category which you can edit. Hover your mouse over each content area to highlight that area on the page. Click on the name of the content area to begin edit.

 

 

Option 2: Click on Highlighted Gray Boxes
Editable content areas will be highlighted by a gray box. Simply use your mouse to click on the area you would like to edit.LogosConnect.com

 

 

 

STEP 4 – EDIT CONTENT
Once you have selected a content area (either Image or Rich Text) to edit, the edit interface displays.

Editing Images

 

 

For Images, this is a simple box displaying the existing image (if any) in that content area.

1. Image Link – Define a full URL (ex. http://www.logoscms.com). When a user clicks on the image you upload, they will be taken to this URL. This link is optional.
o Open Link In New Window – If you’ve defined an Image Link about, mark this box to open that link in a new window in the user’s internet browser. If left unmarked, the user will be taken to the new URL directly in their existing browser window.

2. Image – Enter the file path for the image you’d like to upload, or click the Browse or Choose File button to search for the image on your computer.
a. Note: The Donation routine has a separate Header Image from the main site. This allows you to choose a separate image for the donation process.

3. Update Image –Click this button   when your image has been defined, and you are ready to upload it. Once uploaded, a preview of the image will appear to the right. Close – Click the red X in the top right corner to exit the edit interface, or click back into the main site page below.

Editing Rich Text
For Rich Text, the content area you’ve selected to edit will appear in a highlighted box, while the rest of the site fades to gray.

 


1. Text – To add text to the rich text content area, simply begin to type in the highlighted box.

2. Rich Text Editor – A standard rich text editor displays at the top, allowing you to customize the text with different effects (color, font, size, format, etc.) as well as to insert tables, lists, HTML content, and images. See the “Rich Text Editor Options” section of this document for additional clarification

• To promote text format standardization, use the “Format”  dropdown to select text style options.

3. Save – When finished adding your content, click the Save icon on the right side of the Rich Text Editor.

• Close – Click the red X in the top right corner to exit the edit interface, or click back into the main site page below.

Public vs Private Content

The Manage tab also allows you to edit the content that displays on your site to a visitor that has not logged in. To edit this content, after clicking on the Manage tab, click on the Show Public View link that displays in the top right corner, next to the exit X.

 

 

• A second site image will appear below the existing image of your site, showing the display for a non-logged in user, and the content areas that can be edited.

• The content for the public view site can be edited exactly as the member view, by following steps 5 and

6 listed above.

• When finished, click again on the Show Public View link to hide the display of the public view site, and then click on the red X in the top right to close the edit interface.
Rich Text Editor Options

Format Text

The following options are available for formatting text:

Bold

Text Color

Italics

Bulleted List

Underline

Numbered List

Strikethrough

Justify Text

Tables (For Advanced Users)

The Table Buttons allow you to create and manage basic HTML tables.

For Advanced Users We recommend you only use this if you have knowledge of the HTML coding language. Logos cannot support this functionality as using it could create problems that can only be resolved with knowledge of basic programming.

Hyperlinks

The Hyperlink Buttons  allow you to create and manage hyperlinks.

Hyperlinks & Images – You may use the processes for “Hyperlinks” and “Insert & Manage Images” to associate hyperlinks with images.

Create a hyperlink by selecting text and clicking the hyperlink button. The following dialog box will display:

 

• Link URL – Enter the URL you are linking (e.g.: Http://www.logoscms.com)

• Target – This allows you to select the behavior of the link when clicked. Below are the most often used options.

• Open in this window / frame – Opens the link in the current browser window

• Open in new window (_blank) – Opens the link in a new window

• Title – Define the title of the link that displays when users hover it.

• Click the Insert Button to insert the image in the text.

Hyperlinks & Images – You may use the processes for “Hyperlinks” and “Insert & Manage Images” to associate hyperlinks with images.

Upload and insert images by with the Image Button . Clicking it displays the following:

 

Simply click “Choose File” to find the image on your local computer, and click “Upload and Insert” to place it in the content area.

The Image Properties Button (For Advanced Users Only) allows you manage various options associated with images.

• Image URL – This shows the path / URL to the image on the server.

• Image Description – Define a short description of the image.

• Title – Define the title of the link that displays when users hover it.

• Click the Update Button to save the information.

HTML Code

The HTML button allows you to view and edit the HTML for the selected content area.

For Advanced Users We recommend that you only use this if you have knowledge of the HTML coding language. Logos cannot support this functionality as using it could create problems that can only be resolved with knowledge of basic programming.

 

 

LIST OF EDITABLE PAGES & CONTENT AREAS
You may edit all of the following content areas within your Logos Connect church portal.

• Header Logo (logoOrgImage) – This Logo displays in the header of the portal and on printable giving statements.

• Home Page – There are two “versions” of this page: Public = viewable by the world, Private = only viewable by logged-in users.

o 2 main body content columns: LeftContentText and CentralContentText

o Sidebar content: RightContentText

o Contact Us

o Text above content form: CentralContentText

o Sidebar content: RightContentText
