CNFS Family Directory - Family List: How do I Assign a Family or Member Envelope Number

This article will show you how to add an envelope number for either the whole family or for individual family members.

Adding Envelope Numbers for the Family

 

Click  to display the Family List page.

Select the Family record you wish to modify.

Click the Edit Details button at the bottom of the screen.

Click the Next link to the right of Envelope#.

Enter the Envelope Number or click Next to the right of the Envelope Number field (which will generate the next available number). If you enter an envelope number which is already used, a message will display letting you know this envelope number is assigned to another member or family. 

When updating the envelope number, you will be prompted with the following warning. If you do want to update the current envelope number (either from 0 or from a previously assigned number) click OK.

 

Once you click OK, you will be prompted to save the record as follows:

Depending on your next task, you may Save (remaining in the record) or Save & Close (taking you back to the list).

Click  to display the Member List page.

Select the Member record you wish to modify.

Click the Edit Details button at the bottom of the screen.

Enter the Envelope Number or click Next to the right of the Envelope Number field (which will generate the next available number). If you enter an envelope number which is already used, a message will display letting you know this envelope number is assigned to another member or family.

Once you click OK, you will be prompted to save the record as follows:

Depending on your next task, you may Save (remaining in the record) or Save & Close (taking you back to the list). The other choices are self-explanatory.
