Once you have assigned Next Year Envelope Numbers, you may need to send a file to your envelope company.
From CMS Contributions, click Process | Merge/Export File | New Report | give it a name, such as Next Year Envelope Number File and click OK.
NOTE: Do not name your merge/export file with an actual year, i.e. "2008 Envelope File". If you leave the report name generic "Next Year Envelope Number File", you can re-use this merge/export file the following year. If you specify a year, you will not know if the file will pull current year or next year envelope numbers.
Click the down arrow at File Type and select one of the Envelope Mailings (Our Sunday Visitor, American Church, or Generic).
Click the Contrib/Pledge Selections button located about half way down the left side of the display.
Click the down arrow at Data Selection Field #1 and choose Next Year Envelope Number and leave the range 1 thru 99999. This will select only those people who have been assigned a Next Year Envelope Number. Click OK.
Check the box at Field Names in First Record located in the lower left corner of the screen.
Insert a blank diskette in your drive and click the Output File button on the right side of the display. You can now mail this diskette to your envelope company.
Or, if you prefer to email the list to the envelope company....
