If you get this error message, it could be that your BDE (Borland Database Engine) has been interrupted, shut down improperly, or is conflicting with another application on your workstation.
Try rebooting (shut the computer down completely, then boot it back up) the workstation first, this will take care of the error message 99% of the time!
If you still get this error message, do the following on that workstation:
Double click My Computer | C: drive | Program Files | Corel. Then right click the Paradox Runtime folder and choose Delete (Yes, you're sure).
Double click My Computer | C: drive | Program Files | Borland | Common Files. Then right click the BDE folder and choose Delete (Yes, you're sure).
Follow the instructions at Workstation Installation and Setup to complete a Workstation Installation of People Products/Fund Accounting.
This will clear out that workstation and re-install it from scratch. Now you should be able to get back into CMS.
