Why can't I close a batch?
One reason you can't close a batch may be because you are not the batch owner. If this is the case, you will receive an error message saying that you aren't the owner. You can check who is the batch owner in the Batch Details:
- Go to Offering → Batches → Search for the batch → Select the Edit icon next to the batch:
- Then you'll see the owner:
- You will have to contact the batch owner to close the batch for you or anyone with an Organization Admin privilege.
- If the batch owner no longer works for the organization, the church administrator will need to end date their current assignment and request that support change the batch ownership. The current batch owner's MemberDUID and the new owner's Name and MemberDUID must be provided.
Another reason you may not be able to close a batch is- you do not have Close Batch access rights in your staff assignment:
Have your Parishsoft administrator check the "Close Batch" checkbox and Save.
