How to file your 1099 electronically

  1. If you have not yet done so, you must create a Nelco account. See How to create a Nelco Account.  
  2. Next, go to Ledger and Payables, → Reports.
  3. Under Standard Reports, expand the Vendor option.
    • Select from the two options for 1099 E-Filing: 1099-MISC E-file and 1099-NEC E-file. 
    • Note: When you file your 1099 electronically, your 1096 automatically gets filed electronically also.

  4. Continue as prompted.
