How to select which member name prints on a statement

You may configure your statements to print using one of the four mailing name categories that are populated in the Family Directory:  Formal Mailing Name, Informal Name, Formal Salutation, and Informal Salutation. If the category you select does not include the last name for some or for all of the families, you may either want to add the last name to the field for those family records in the Family Directory or choose a different category for your statement.

  1. Navigate to the Donor Reports page.
    • On the Navigation Bar, expand Offering → Reports and select Donor.
      -or-
    • On the Home → Offering page, select Donor from the Reports card.

  3. Under the tab for Statements, click the dropdown arrow to select the Mailing Name Type.
    • The name that will print on your statements will match the mailing name type from the family details.
    • If you select an option with two mailing name types, such as Family Formal Mailing and Informal Salutation, then the first mailing name type will appear in the address block of the statement, and the second mailing name type will appear in the salutation field (greeting) of the letter.

    • Sometimes the name category in the Family Directory will not have the last name. If that is the case, you may want to choose another mailing name category that you know is populated with last names for all families and use that for your statements.
