How to change the contribution date or the fund of a contribution posting in an open batch
A batch that has been flagged for review is still considered open (although the status is 'Review') and the postings can be edited or deleted.
Note: This article shows how to change the postings you have already entered in a batch. If you want to change the default values before you add the next postings, see How to change the default values while in the process of adding postings.
- Navigate to the Batches page using one of the following methods:
- From the Navigator Bar, select Batches.
-or- - From the Batches Card, select Open.
If this batch has been flagged for review, after selecting Open, you must update the Status field in the Filter Panel to 'Review' and click the Filter Panel search button for the record to display.
- From the Navigator Bar, select Batches.
- To bring up the posting, locate the batch card then click the Postings button.
- Find the contribution or pledge on the batch postings page by scrolling through the records, then click the pencil icon to the left of the entry to edit the record (see image below).
- Click the Change This Entry button to get a Batch Contribution Details pop-up. Here you may change the following fields for this entry: Fund, Tax Deductible, Contribution Type, and Contribution Date.
- Click Confirm once you have completed the changes and then click Save to save the changes to the record within the batch.
