How to resolve an error that says, Error saving Batch Contribution
When you receive an error upon saving a contribution posting, click the red (I) for additional information.
- Fund Date Error: The Fund ... has a posting date range limits of ...Contribution Date must be within this range
- Pledge Record Error: Donor does not have an active pledge and pledges are required for this fund
The Fund fund name has posting date range limits of mm/dd/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy.
- This error occurs when the fund has and end date that is prior to the contribution date.
There are two ways to resolve this error depending on your particular circumstance:
Go to Pledge Record Error
Donor does not have an active pledge and pledges are required for this fund
- When this error occurs and how to resolve it
- A pledge is required but no pledge has been added for this contributor. To resolve this error:
- Simply add a pledge record before adding the contribution record.
- Note: the Batch Details page may need to be updated to account for the additional pledge record. If the new pledge is not in the current batch, make sure you close the batch where the pledge is posted before moving to step 2.
- Pull up the batch and add the contribution.
- Simply add a pledge record before adding the contribution record.
- A pledge is required and a pledge has been added but the software is treating it as if it has not been added. Unless the pledge is in the same batch as the contribution, the batch must be closed before the Development Manager recognizes it. Close the batch in which the pledge resides and then add the contribution.
- A pledge is required and a pledge was added but the pledge has an end date prior to the contribution date. If the pledge is in a closed batch, a new pledge record must be added.
- A pledge is required but no pledge has been added for this contributor. To resolve this error:
Go to Fund Date Error.
