How to navigate the Development Manager screens
The Home/DM Page
To access the Development Manager Module, log into ParishSOFT Diocesan Suite as usual; then click the Diocesan Development tab. This will open the Development Manager Module in a new internet tab.
Once the Development Manager screen displays, you will still have access to the Diocesan Suite and may toggle between the two tabs on the internet.
There are two ways to get around in Development Manager.
- Click the Page Links found at the bottom of the Cards which make up the Pages Panel.
-or- - Click the option from the Navigator Bar on the left side of the screen.
- The Pages Panel contains Cards.
- Each Card contains Page Links which, when clicked, will navigate to the specified page.
- Once you navigate to a specific page, the Navigator Bar will still be present while the Pages Panel is no longer visible. To navigate back to the Pages Panel, Click Home.
- For additional information on any screen, select the In-App Help icon in the upper right corner of every page sandwiched between the Diocese Name and the User Name.
- This software is designed to work on many platforms including mobile devices which is why the font may seem a bit small when working on a computer. There are two ways to increase/decrease the font size: Note: Use Ctrl-0 to pop back to the original screen size at any time.
- Depress the Ctrl-key and turn the wheel on your mouse away from you (increase) or toward you (decrease).
- Depress the Ctrl-key and use the + and - signs on the keypad to increase or decrease the size.
- Once you have left the DM Homepage, there are two ways to access the options.
- Use the Navigator Bar on the left, which is present no matter which screen you access.
-or- - Click DM on the breadcrumb link to go back to the DM Homepage and use the page links on the cards.
- Use the Navigator Bar on the left, which is present no matter which screen you access.
-
Development Manager is designed with processing speed in mind. This is why when you access the Funds or the Pledges screens for the first time, for example, the center screen will be blank. Instead of using system resources to collect and display all of the records, Isidore's efficient use of resources lets you enter your search criteria first, limiting the number of records that must be found and displayed.
The Navigator Bar
- The Navigator Bar is present on every page. Clicking the hamburger menu icon will collapse or expand the Navigator Bar. When collapsed, the Navigator Bar shows the initial(s) of each option.
- Any options listed on the Navigator Bar that has a carrot v or ^ may be toggled to expand or contract that item as shown above in the Development Manager screen or under Reports.
- Any item on the Navigator Bar that does not show a carrot is a page link.
For more information on the Home Page elements, see the in-app article, About the Home Page.
Navigating to a page
To navigate to a page, select either the page link at the bottom of the card or select the page link on the Navigator Bar. Either option in the screenshot below will take you to the Funds page.
Action Buttons
The following action buttons are displayed in the upper right corner of each page. Not every action button will be found on every page. For example, the Delete Record button would not be found on the Reports Page.
Using the Filter Panel
The filter panel may be hidden or displayed. Two of the action buttons on the filter panel (shown below the action buttons in this image) may also be found elsewhere on the screen. That way, even when the filter panel is hidden, the action may still be taken.
