Customer Onboarding Individual - Migration from ParishSOFT Desktop: Migration Steps

Migration Steps for Individual Parishes

Step #1: Schedule Your Data Migration

Using the link provided in your Step 1 email, schedule the date you would like to start your data migration. Note: you and your staff  should not be making any changes to your data while the migration is processed, this can take up to 3 business days.  Any changes made will not appear in the migrated data on ParishSOFT Family Suite

Step #2: Prepare Your Data

We will provide suggested steps to prepare your data for migration. By following these steps, you will have a much easier and more successful migration with better overall results in the ParishSOFT Family Suite.

Step #3: Submit Your Data for Migration

Depending on if you have the software locally installed or if you are hosted in our Remote Solutions, we will guide you on how to submit your data for the migration.  Either way, once your data is submitted, you should only use that data for reference and no changes should be made.

Training for the ParishSOFT Family Suite
This is also a good time to sign up for our PathFinder Learning System to be prepared to use the ParishSOFT Family Suite.  Be sure that at least one person in your organization takes training for each purchased Family Suite program module.

Step# 4: Your migrated data is ready for review!

When the migration of your data is complete, you will receive an email with your login information. Your data will be placed in a read-only format for review. You will be presented with an instructional walkthrough to help you with your validation.  You also will have access to a checklist and video.

Step # 5: Your migrated database has been accepted!

Once you have accepted your migrated database you will start using the ParishSOFT Family Suite for your day-to-day work.  You will have full administrative rights for your parish and you can set up the rest of your staff with their appropriate access and permissions.
