How to update a user's email address

A user may update their own email address or a church administrator may do so. Support is not authorized to update a user's information. Contact a church administrator or the diocese if you cannot update the email.

  • A user may update their own User Name, Name, Email, and reset their password by clicking on their name link in the upper right corner of the software window once they are logged in. This will display the user's profile.
    • The use of a generic email will prevent the user from receiving ParishSOFT updates including enhancement notifications.
    • Generic emails would be those that begin with such words as Administrator@, Manager@, Office@, etc.
  • A church administrator can update this information by going to Church Manager→Users→ and clicking on Go next to the person's name. This will display the user's profile.

 Once the user's profile is displayed, any of the fields may be updated and submitted.
