The goal of this list is to help your organization verify that the sites you are selecting for your Onsite Training venues/environments allow for a successful ParishSOFT Onsite Training.
Room
- Adequate room for the number attending. Maximum 25 participants.
- Seating adequate for number of attendees.
- Adequate table space for laptop/desktop and space for note taking.
- Podium & small table for presenter.
- Security: Is the room/space secure enough to leave equipment out overnight for a 2-day training session?
IT Requirements
- Projector and Screen or Large Screen TV with HDMI or VGA Connection
- HDMI cables that will reach from the projector to the desired location of the presenters laptop.
- Screen size should be adequate for the number attending and the room size.
- Broadband Internet Connection
- Wireless or cabled internet for participants.
- Wired internet connection for the presenter is preferable.
- Note that DSL and U-Verse are not adequate.
- Download Speed - 15mps or greater
- Upload Speed - 5mps or greater
- Can be tested at speedtest.net

- Verify firewalls do not block https://trainingdemo@parishsoft.com and https://trainingdemo2@parishsoft.com
- Laptops/Desktop Computers
- One per trainee (Up to 25 computers)
- One mouse per trainee
- Browsers
- Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari
- Recommend Chrome for Family Suite Training and Firefox for Accounting Training.
- Power: At least 2 circuits if planning 25 laptops/desktops (circuits – meaning 2 circuit breakers – not necessarily outlets).
- Extension cords/power strips to allow bringing power to the tables, or room configuration that allows tables near wall outlets to bring power via power strips. Safety Tip: Tape down any cords going across the room, as attendees and trainers will need to walk throughout the room.
- Power cords long enough to reach the projector and presenter's laptop and power strips if needed.
- Microphone & Speakers if required (based on room size).
- What is the Wi-Fi password?
- Is there a separate login and password for each computer?
Hospitality & Planning
- Will Refreshments/lunch be available for participants, or should they brown bag it?
- Should the trainer bring water?
- What is the building name and room training will be conducted in?
- What time can we access the room?
- What time will training start and end? If all day recommended 9 am - 4:30 pm with 30 minute lunch.
- Where should the trainer park when they arrive?
- Who should the trainer ask for when they arrive?
