ParishSOFT Web to ParishSOFT Web Transition Data Integration Steps
For some of the steps below, you will work with a member of the ParishSOFT team and other steps you’ll complete on your own. Our Implementation Team will be in touch and available for questions you have along the way.
Step #1
Below we have provided links to some frequently asked questions, our transition checklist and an overview of the data integration process.

These documents will guide you and provide important information on what to do prior to, during, and following your data integration.
Step #2
Now is a great time to sign up and begin using our PATHFinder Learning System!
Even though you have been working in the ParishSOFT Family Suite application there are always changes and updates you may not be aware of.
This online learning system will allow each staff person to complete a set of courses based on their individual training needs, at a time and pace that fits their schedules. We are confident this will help you be more effective in navigating your new system and using it to support your ministry.
To sign-up and register for PATHFinder use the link below and the code you were emailed.
If your Diocese has scheduled ParishSOFT hands-on training make sure you have signed up with your diocese to attend.
Step #3
On your scheduled day … we will retrieve The Diocesan and Parish full backups as of the Sunday night preceding your scheduled start date and begin the transition and integration into the Diocesan ParishSOFT staging site for your review. Your staff will still be able to continue to use your current data during steps 3, 4 and 5. ParishSOFT will retrieve a fresh backup of the parish data after the integrated data review site has been approved by both the Parish and the Diocese.
Step #4
The integration of your Parish data into the Diocesan data stage site will take approximately 3 business days from the start date to complete.
Step #5
When the integration of your data is complete, you will receive an email with your login information. Your data will be placed in a read-only format for review. To guide you through the review and validation of your data in ParishSOFT Family Suite please refer to the documents and video below.
Should you have any questions or find discrepancies in your integrated data please email Implementations@parishsoft.com or call 866-930-4774 x 3. Once you and the diocese are satisfied with the results of the integrated data you both will respond to the login email with your official acceptance of the data and we will schedule your next steps.
Step #6
After all the data in ParishSOFT has been approved by the Parish and the Diocese, and you have each notified Implementations of your acceptance, the production run of your integration will be scheduled. A few days prior to your production run start date notify anyone who uses ParishSOFT of the scheduled date and that the system will be down for up to 2 business day so they can plan accordingly. If your parishioners are using My Own Church you will want to notify them as well and let them know after the site is restored they will be notified of the new web address.
Step #7
When your site has been moved, you will receive an email notification of your new permanent web address along with a login and password. Please save the new ParishSOFT site address and remove any old site reference from all users’ computers.
Step #8
You may now begin using your integrated ParishSOFT Family Suite data for your day-to-day work!
Keeping in mind you may need to rename or remove some default items in Lookup tables and naming of areas.
