How to add an after-tax vision insurance deduction

  1. In Payroll → Setup, click Add a New Deduction/Benefit FromTemplate.
  2. Click the Select button for the Health Care Benefit. The new addition will be now at the end of the list. Click Edit.
  3. If you would like, update the description to reflect a clear picture of the deduction.
  4. Update the Type to Deduction.
  5. Since this is an after-tax deduction, no tax categories should be marked. Click Submit.

    The resulting deduction screen should look similar to this.
