Why are deposits and bills not totaling on the transaction entry screen?
If any special characters are used when entering amounts, the numbers with special characters will not display in the total sum.
For example, to enter the amount $4,050.50, enter 4050.50 and you will get the following correct result.
Entering the same amount using special characters of either the comma (,) or the dollar sign ($) will render the following. Note, in either case, the amounts are not reflected in the total.
If there are no cents in the amount, you may omit the decimal. The software will automatically add the .00 to the end of the number you enter.
If you omit the decimal when there are cents, the software will still automatically add .00 to the end of the amount. Therefore, if your amount is $4050.50 and you enter 405050, you will get the following:
If there are cents in the amount, the decimal must be included.
When you enter a Bill or a Deposit and include special characters, the software will display an error message when you submit the transaction as shown in the bill which follows.
