How to disable plugins, add-ons, and extensions in multiple browsers
If you are encountering speed, upload, download, or various interface problems with ParishSOFT products, it could be caused by a plugin, add-on, or extension within your browser. To see if this is the case, you can try disabling all plugins, add-ons, or extensions within your browser. These are steps on how to disable them In the FireFox and Google Chrome browsers:
Mozilla Firefox
- Click the menu icon "≡"at the top left-hand corner of the browser window and choose Add-ons.
- If you are using Windows XP, click on Toolsfrom the menu bar near the top of the browser window and choose Add-ons.
- If you are using Windows XP, click on Toolsfrom the menu bar near the top of the browser window and choose Add-ons.
- Click Extensions to view the installed extensions or click Plugins to view plugins installed for your browser.
- Disable the Extentions or Plugins one by one until the issue experienced no longer occurs.
- Find the add-on you want to disable and click Disable
To Restart Fire Fox with all add-ons disabled click the Menu Icon "≡" at the top left-hand corner of the browser window and choose Help.
Then click Restart with Add-ons – Disabled….
Google Chrome
- Click the menu icon (1) at the top right of the browser window, choose More tools (2) and choose Extensions (3) to open the Extensions
- Move the slider to the left (1) to disable the Extension or click Remove (2) to remove the Extension you want to delete.
