Merge Duplicate Family/Member Records

The intention of this article is to help you understand how to use the merge families function in ParishSOFT Diocesan Suite.

 

This article will explain the different information you need to gather for the completion of a merge as well as some things you may run into during this process. 

 

Gather the family information and identify the duplicates:



 

Note the family DUIDs and identify which one is going to be the master family DUID.

Go to the Merge Families page under the Administration Tab and enter the Family DUIDs:



 

Once you have inserted the DUIDs into the correct fields. You will need to select which member records to merge each duplicate member record into in the What to Do fields:

 

If there is another duplicate family, merge the second duplicate at the same time. Just enter the second duplicate family DUID in the 'Additional Duplicate Family DUID' field:





Click OK when you receive the following message:



 

Go to the Merge Family Queue option to see the pending Merge records.

These records will be merged overnight.
