First Time Logging in to the New ParishSOFT Platform? Start Here!

This article explains what to expect the first time you log in to the New ParishSOFT Platform after your organization has migrated. The login process migrates your user account and enables single sign‑on using an email address and password.

Important! It is essential that the Organization Administrator on the account reviews all assigned User Permissions before migrating to the New Platform. This will prevent any issues with accessing necessary modules when migration is complete. 

Before You Begin

  • This article applies only to organizations already migrated to the New ParishSOFT Platform.
  • If your diocese has not migrated, refer to the legacy‑platform resources instead.
  • If you also need to migrate Online Giving, complete the Family Suite migration first.
  • Use the same email address when migrating Family Suite and Giving to avoid creating duplicate user accounts.

What Happens When You First Log In

When you log in to your usual ParishSOFT URL (for example, yourdiocese.parishsoftfamilysuite.com), the system walks you through a required account‑migration process.

  1. When you first log in to ParishSOFT you will see the notice below. LogIn_OrgAdmin_1.png
  2. Signing in with your existing username and password

  3. Selecting an email address for future logins
  4. Resetting your password
  5. Redirecting to the New Platform dashboard

Choose Your Login Email Address

  • Enter an email address you will use going forward.
  • This can be a work or personal email address.
  • The email you choose becomes your new login credential

Shared Email Warning: If multiple users previously shared the same email address, each user must now choose a unique email. The first user to claim an email address is the only one who can use it.

Reset Your Password

Password reset is required during first‑time login.

  • Create a password that meets all listed criteria
  • Ensure all requirements show a green checkmark
  • Select Done to continue

After resetting your password, you are automatically redirected to the Family Suite Home Page

Organization Administrator Accounts

If you are an Organization Administrator:

  • You will see the Manage module after login
  • The Manage module always appears last in the module list
  • This module identifies your account as an administrator account

Limited‑Permission User Accounts

If you are a Limited‑Permission user:

  • The login process is the same as for administrators
  • You will not see the Manage module
  • Your permissions remain the same as they were in the legacy platform

If your organization uses the same email address for multiple users, each user must enter a unique email address to complete the user migration to the New ParishSOFT Platform.

The first user to log in with the shared email address with be the one and only user to claim that email address. All other users must pick a unique email address.
