FTP Backup Instructions for Data Conversions

Common Conversion- Data Backup Tips

Other program information:

  • From PDS – Create a backup (e.g., your backup file will have a name similar to C12252014A.pds).
  • From Logos II and Logos SR – Create a backup of each of the programs
  • For any other data sources please respond to your “Please Submit Backup” email, for file type needed. Then contact your current software vendor for assistance if needed.

 

 

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Instructions

  1. Open any web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox).
  2. Enter the following address: https://ftp.parishsoft.com (or click the link).
    You will get a login screen.
  3. Enter the Username and Password received in the email from the Implementation Team.
    • If you have not received a username and password, please contact us at 866-930-4774 ex 262.
    • You will be prompted to change your password. Please re-enter the Password sent to you and enter a New Password you will remember.
    • The Password must contain the following:
      • A minimum length of 8 characters
        • At least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase letter at least 1 number
      • Click OK to change the password
  4. To upload your file:
    • Click the  button
    • Click the or   button
    • Navigate to the location of the backup or zip file you created of your data.
    • Click once on the name.
    • Click the  button
    • Click the  button to complete the upload process. You should now see the backup/zip file present on the screen in front of you.
  5. Repeat steps  to upload any additional files needed (e.g. Other data files, etc.). 
  6. When finished, please reply to the “Submit Backup” email and let us know you have uploaded your data.

Conversion Turn Around Time

ParishSOFT Family Suite: After you send us your data, we ask for 10 business days to complete the conversion process. During that time, we advise you to use your current program for reference only. Any entries made during that time will not appear in ParishSOFT Family Suite. If you do make entries, save documentation of the changes so that you can make them in ParishSOFT Family Suite after your conversion is complete.

ParishSOFT Accounting: After you send us your data, we ask for 5 business days to complete the conversion process. During that time, we advise you to use your current program only for reference. Any entries made during that time will not appear in ParishSOFT Accounting. If you do make entries, save documentation of the changes so that you can make them in the ParishSOFT Accounting system after your conversion is complete.

We know that you are eager to use your new ParishSOFT products. We will be working very hard to have it ready for you as quickly as possible.
