How to enter a beginning balance for a project

Note: Beginning Project balances are different than beginning balances entered when you first start using ParishSOFT Accounting. Beginning Project Balances should be entered with a journal entry. 

Use a journal entry to create a beginning balance for a project. In the journal entry, debit and credit the same account and enter the project name on the same line as the credit. Do not enter the project on both lines of the journal entry.

Once the beginning balance is recorded, the journal entry will be on the Project Report, and the project will have a positive balance.
