How to prevent withholding for federal, state, or local taxes

There are two ways to prevent withholding; enter zero in the override field, OR,  enter 99 in the allowance/dependents fields. You do not need to enter both the override and 99 allowances, the example below shows either way to accomplish withholding zero taxes.

Caution: If you uncheck "withhold federal tax", "withhold state tax", or "withhold local tax", the system WILL NOT report federal, state, or local gross wages for an employee.
