How to disable/deactivate donor accounts

  1. Select Donors from the left menu then enter the donor name into the search field in the upper right corner. Select Action then click View Donor Details. The following steps prompt you to look for and remove two things: a scheduled gift and credit card or bank account information.
  2. See if they have a scheduled gift.

    • If they have a scheduled gift, delete that schedule by going to Reports → Auto-Donations.

      Filter on their name by entering it in the search bar. Then, select ActionDisable.
    • If they do not have a scheduled gift or if you have already disabled it, go to step 3.
  3. Remove payments profiles: go back to the Donor's record (see step 1) and click on ActionPayment Profiles then View/Edit Payment Profiles.

    • If a Payment Profile is saved, highlight the payment profile (click on it) then click Remove Card or Remove Bank Account. Click Close.
