How to find an account that is not showing up in quick find or that is unavailable for use in a transaction
When using Quick Find to look up an account, the search may be done on any of the following categories: Account Code, Description, or Shortcut which all display in the drop-down. Depending on how the user options are set up or which links are chosen, the accounts will display in a different order.
User Options allows a user to set up a default search category to look up accounts. When using Quick Find, the default setting will determine how the accounts display unless an alternative link is chosen.
The Account is in Accounts → Quick Find but can't be used in a transaction
If the account is found when using Quick Find in the Accounts screen but does not display when trying to enter a transaction, the account has likely been archived. If it is not archived verify you are entering it exactly as it shows on the screen.
