How to find and/or re-activate an archived account or How to find a missing account
If you know you have used a particular account in the past but now cannot find it when adding a transaction such as a bill, deposit, or journal entry, it is likely the account has been archived.
Even when an account has been archived, you will be able to see it when searching transactions in configure report account drop-downs and also on reports when "Include inactive history accounts" has been marked.
To find a missing or an archived account:
- In the main Accounts screen, pull up the account using Quick Find or Find Account.
- When using Find Account, the whole list will display and you may then use the CTRL-F feature to find the specific account, or scroll down to it.
- Once you find the account, click the Go button to the left.
- If you want to re-activate the account, unmark the archive option, and click Submit.
