How are the invoice date and the actual invoice date on the bill entry screen used?
In an accrual accounting system, the invoice date records the date the expense is incurred.
The actual invoice date is an optional field which must be made available through the Church Manager → Options screen. It allows you to record the date that is listed on the actual invoice. The actual invoice date is for informational purposes only and does not affect the general ledger.
The actual invoice date may be a date in a closed month, where the invoice date may not.
