The table below lists and defines the fields in the Requirements panel.

Description |
| Requirement |
Name of the requirement. Examples: Driver Training, Drug Test, Background Screening. If a requirement has attachments, a paperclip icon |
| Related Assignment | Shows all assignments the requirement is tied to. |
| Status |
Indicates the status of the requirement as one of the following: Depending on your organization's policies, you may choose to use all or just some of the Status options in this list to track requirements.

| Started | The date the requirement was created (entered into the system). Typically, today's date is entered into the field, but you can specify a different date. The system calculates the due date based on the date entered into this field. |
| Completed | The date the individual completed the requirement. The system calculates the expiration date based on the date entered into this field. |
| Due | The date by which the requirement must be completed. |
| Expires | The date after which the requirement is no longer in effect. |
| Requirement Method |
The method used to fulfill the requirement. Examples of methods used to fulfill a requirement include an online course, in-person training, and passing a grade on an examination. Select the desired option. The options appearing in this dropdown list must be pre-configured in the Settings > Lookups page. | Notes | Comments field where a user can enter notes about the requirement. |
| Admin Notes | Comments field where an Admin user can view and enter notes about a requirement. |
| External ID |
Unique identifier that references the requirement in an external system. The field is important for maintaining referential integrity between the two systems (SEP and the third-party provider). This field is optional. Accepts alphanumeric values. Access to this field is controlled by the Individual Requirements > Modify permission. Only users with this permission are allowed to add and edit a value in the field. |

Identifies the source of the value in the External ID field. This field is optional. Accepts text values. Access to this field is controlled by the Individual Requirements > Modify permission. Only users with this permission are allowed to add and edit a value in the field. |
