Reset a SEP User's Password

This article provides instructions for resetting a user's password in ParishSOFT’s Safe Environment Program (SEP), including required permissions and steps to initiate the reset and notify the user via email.

You must have Users > View/Modify/Delete permissions to reset a user's password. 

  1. On the Home page, select the Settings tile to open the Settings page.
  2. Select the Users tile to open the Users page. This page lists the users in your organization.
  3. The page opens in grid view. To view the page in card view, click card view button.png in the toolbar.
  4. Find the user whose password you want to reset. Then, click their name link to open their profile.
  5. In the toolbar, click reset password icon.png (Reset Password).
  6. You are prompted to confirm the password reset request. Do one of the following:
    • Click continue icon.png to continue. 
      A message is displayed to inform you that the reset request was successful. The user will receive an email with instructions on how to reset their password.
    • Click cancel symbol icon.png to cancel the request.
