About the Attendance Reports Page

This article provides a quick reference for the elements on the Attendance Reports page, which includes but is not limited to information about its links, buttons, input controls, and navigational components. As a quick reference, the article provides concise yet useful summaries and descriptions of each element on the page, helping you quickly understand its specific function and the tasks it can be used for.

Overview

Use the Attendance Reports page to create specific class-related reports, such as class lists, rosters, attendance sheets, schedules, and mailing labels. The reports are fully customizable, enabling you to select the data you want to see and apply filters to limit the data returned.

Types of Attendance Reports

Recording and reporting attendance is an important task. The program offers two types of attendance reports for your use. The reports are listed and described below.

Attendance

The Attendance report is pre-populated with the names of students matching your filter criteria. This report uses four categories for reporting attendance on a given date: Present, Absent, Tardy, or Excused. It includes the student's name, name of the class and teacher, class location and session, and each student's attendance status (for example, Present). For instructions on creating an Attendance report, go to How to Create an Attendance Report.

This report includes an option that lets you create blank attendance forms. The blank attendance form is pre-populated with the names of students matching your filter criteria. The report consists of empty cells for marking a student present, absent, tardy, or excused. For instructions on creating a Blank Attendance Sheet report, go to Create Blank Attendance Sheets.

This report includes an option that lets you create a report showing student attendance by meeting date. The report lists each meeting date and the names of students present on that date.

For instructions on creating an Attendance By Date report, go to Create an Attendance By Date Report.

Sign-in Sheet

This report provides printable sign-in forms for recording student attendance. The forms are pre-populated with the names of students matching your filter criteria. The report includes fields for students to print and sign their names and to record times in and times out.

For instructions on creating a Sign-in Sheet report, go to How to Create Sign-in Sheets.

Report Filters

Sometimes you want to build a report that focuses on specific portions of your data rather than all your data. For example, you may want to limit the report to students in a specific grade, class, or department. Applying the filters enables you to zero in on the data you want to see. If desired, you can then print the report with just that data. The  Attendance report filters are listed below. Click the name of a filter to open it and view its description.

Term

This dropdown list contains all of the terms created for your organization's Religious Education programs. For a description of this filter, go to Term.

Dates

This filter lets you filter the data to show classes that have meeting dates within a desired date range. For a description of this filter, go to Dates.

Classes Filter

This filter lets you choose the category that you want to filter attendance data on. By default, the filter is set to the All Classes in Term option. For a description of this filter, go to Classes Filter.
