Give a Parish Staff Member Permission to Import Contact Information

Note: You must have Organization Admin access rights assigned to your login credentials to perform this task.

The diocese globally controls the right to import contact information. If parishes in your diocese do not have import rights, you cannot grant members of your staff permission to import. For details, contact your diocesan administrator.

  1. In the Organization list, select the organization in which you are assigning the staff member's access rights and permissions.
  2. Select the Administration module from the left Navigation bar.
  3. Click the Manage List tab to navigate to the Staff List page.
  4. Select the desired staff member’s name to open their record.
  5. In the upper-right corner, select the organization/position for which you are assigning the selected staff member import contact permission.
  6. Click edit details.png to put the record in edit mode.
  7. On the ParishSOFT Modules tab, select the Import Contact Info option in the Family Directory group, as shown below:

  8. Click save & close.png.

The selected user now has permission to import contact information from external applications into the parish's database.
