A letterhead is the heading that appears at the top of the donor letter. It enables you to personalize correspondence to donors and gives your letters a professional appearance.
This article provides simple guidelines for creating custom letterhead and instructions for adding it as an option to the Letterhead dropdown list in the donor report setup. After the option is added, it is available organization-wide for users to select when creating donor reports.
A letterhead can be designed around your church's logo or photo and include your church's name, address, and contact information. Keep the following in mind when creating a custom letterhead for your donor reports:
- Letterheads come in a variety of styles, but a common practice is to include a logo or an image of your church along with the church's name, address, and contact information.
- Color is permitted, but it is suggested to keep it simple.
- The image file containing the letterhead must be saved in one of the following formats:
- .bmp
- .png
- .jpg.
- The image file should be sized to fit into the 1.5-inch x 8-inch area at the top of the donor letter.
- You can create as many letterheads as you need, but only five can be added to the report setup.
- Save the image file and note the location. You will need to reference the file during the report setup.
