Fixes

Unity parishioner users are still not able to download Giving Statements

Parishioners can now successfully download their Giving Statement as a PDF from the Unity platform by navigating to My Parish > My Offering > Giving History. Previously, attempting to download a statement resulted in an error, but this issue has been resolved, so the download completes without any problems.

Fixes

Canadian Tax Receipts won't generate for individual members

Canadian parishes can now successfully generate tax statements for individual members. Previously, attempting to run a Canadian Tax Receipt report for selected members instead of families resulted in an error, preventing the report from being generated. This long-standing issue has been resolved, allowing Canadian customers to produce tax receipts at the individual member level as expected.

Infrastructure Updates

Allow users to download Giving Statement from Unity

Users created through the Unity platform were unable to download their prior-year Giving Statement because the authentication process relied on a username that doesn't exist for these accounts. This has been resolved so that the system now falls back to the user's email address when a username is unavailable, allowing Unity-created users to successfully authenticate and download their family Giving Statements, just like all other users.

Hotfix

Donor Match Error Issue with ParishSOFT API

A fix was made to resolve sync errors that appeared after a recent integration update, where donors previously matched to each other were incorrectly generating "Unable to find donor" errors during synchronization between Giving and Family Suite. The issue affected donors who had been matched to member records, which became unrecognizable after the update because an underlying data lookup was not returning all expected member information. With this fix, previously matched donors will now sync correctly without needing to be re-matched, restoring normal integration behavior for affected organizations.

Fixes

Error When Removing New Platform Login During Family Merge

An issue has been resolved in which clicking “Remove New Platform Login for [User’s Name]” during the Family Merge process resulted in an error prompting users to contact support. The option now functions correctly, allowing UnityIDs to be removed as expected during duplicate family record resolution, so merges can be completed without interruption or support assistance.

Phone Number Matching During Unity User Migration

An issue has been resolved where Unity user migrations could fail when phone numbers matched existing users but were stored in different formats. Phone numbers are now normalized during migration checks, so equivalent values are correctly identified. When a match is found, the phone field is set to null to allow migration to proceed; when no match exists, the original phone number is retained.

Contribution History by Donor Report Fails to Generate for Certain Parishes

An issue has been resolved where the Contribution History by Donor report could fail to generate for certain parishes and never complete after several minutes of processing. The report now generates successfully with common filters, such as All Funds, Family Registration, Family Group, and multi‑year date ranges, allowing parishes to access the complete donor contribution history directly within ParishSOFT without requiring manual intervention or Data Services assistance.

Security Updates

Enhance File Upload Security and User Experience Across FamilySuite Import Features

File upload handling has been strengthened across Family Suite features to improve both safety and usability. The system now validates file types by feature (for example, restricting mail merge uploads to document formats, enforcing CSV-only rules for imports, and limiting photo uploads to supported image types with a 5 MB max), rejects disallowed attachment types where applicable, detects and blocks unsafe file content, and provides clear error messages when a file is rejected so users can correct issues immediately and proceed successfully when validations pass.

Bug Fixes

PSFS Offering – 400 error when generating Batch List Export ordered by Giving Source

An issue has been resolved where users encountered a 400 error when generating the Batch List Export with the Order By option set to Giving Source. Previously, selecting this option caused the export to fail and return an HTTP 400 response. This fix ensures the export generates successfully and supports sorting by Giving Source as expected.

Giving – Member search error

Member search functionality within the Giving platform has been restored. Previously, users encountered errors when searching for members due to an invalid database reference, particularly in environments where Family Suite and licensing databases reside on separate servers. This fix ensures the Member Search endpoint returns valid results and functions correctly across all supported environments.

PSFS – Unable to run Confirmation report in Family Directory

The Confirmation report in Family Directory > Reports > Sacraments is now accessible and functional. Previously, users were unable to select or run the Confirmation report due to a non‑responsive button. This issue has been resolved, allowing all customers to generate Confirmation reports as expected.

Infrastructure Updates

DMO Azure Function update fix

The DMO Azure Function has been updated to use the Isolated Worker model. This update ensures continued support and stability for functionality related to bulk batch modification criteria. All bulk batch update functionality was tested to confirm expected behavior following the model update.

Security Updates

PSFS – Capture full permission change details

Permission‑change logging has been enhanced to capture comprehensive audit details for every permission update. The system now records who made the change, what was changed, when it occurred, and the source of the change (UI, API, or automated process). Logs are immutable, encrypted in transit, downloadable, and accessible only to authorized roles, with all log access itself being audited. This update strengthens security oversight and supports improved compliance and auditing capabilities.

Hot Fixes

Large Contribution Exports Downloading as .JSON Files

When exporting a large number of contributions (approximately 72,000 or more) from DM & Offering > Contributions, some users received a .JSON file instead of the expected PDF or Excel report.

API Updates to Family Records Causing Missing City, State, and Zip in IQ

An issue was identified where updating a family record via the ParishSOFT API caused City, State, and Zip fields to appear blank in IQ query results, even though those fields were populated on the family record itself.

Feb 25, 2026 - Version 5.0.65

Enhancements

Make checkboxes more distinguishable in Family Suite

Checkbox visibility has been improved across Family Suite modules, including Families, Ministry Scheduler, IQ, Administration, and Tuition. Checkboxes now follow the Ministry Brands design‑system guidelines for all states—enabled, selected, disabled, and hover—making them easier to see and interact with. This update replaces the previous low‑contrast styling with consistent, accessible visuals aligned with the FamilySuite redesign standards.

Fixes

PSFS DM & Offering – Canadian Tax Receipts display incorrect header and issued date

Canadian Tax Receipts now display the correct year in both the report header and issued date. Previously, receipts were generated with dates that were one year behind, causing confusion for donors and administrators. This fix ensures tax receipts accurately reflect the selected reporting period when exported from Donor Reports.

PSFS – Offering Reports, Donor Pledge Statement Report ignores Family Workgroup filter

The Family Workgroup filter is now correctly applied when generating Donor Pledge Statement Reports. Previously, reports included all qualifying families regardless of the selected workgroup. This fix ensures reports respect the chosen Family Workgroup criteria, allowing parishes to generate targeted and accurate pledge statements.

PSFS – Time Stamp is off in ParishSoft

An issue causing contribution batch timestamps to display incorrect times has been resolved. Previously, batch open and close times appeared several hours off from the actual entry time, leading to confusion in reports such as Contribution Detail exports. This fix ensures timestamps now correctly reflect the user’s local time zone for accurate recordkeeping and auditing.

Feb 11, 2026 - Version 5.0.64

Enhancements

Make checkboxes more distinguishable in Religious Education

Checkbox visibility has been improved across all grids within the Religious Education module. Checkboxes now follow the Ministry Brands design‑system visual standards for all interaction states, including enabled, selected, disabled, and hover. This update improves usability by replacing the previous low‑contrast light‑gray styling with accessible, clearly visible variants defined in the MB Figma design system.

Make checkboxes more distinguishable in DMO

The Development & Offering modules now display updated, high‑contrast checkboxes that adhere to MB design‑system standards. All checkbox states—including enabled, selected, disabled, and hover—have been modernized to match the approved Family Suite redesign. This update ensures consistency across modules and enhances ease of use for all users navigating grid‑based pages.

Fixes

PSFS DM & Offering – Canadian Tax Receipts display incorrect header and issued date

The Canadian Tax Receipt report now displays the correct date in both the header and the issued‑date field. Previously, the generated PDF displayed dates that were one year behind. This update corrects the date logic used in the Donor Reports export flow for Canadian organizations, ensuring accurate reporting for dioceses such as the Diocese of Alexandria‑Cornwall and others.

Jan 19, 2026 – Version 5.0.63

Enhancements

Allow Removal of Address 2 via Contact Import

We’ve refined the contact import process to allow for accurate cleanup of address data. The REMOVE action now clears Address 2 values (Home, Mailing, Other) while leaving blank fields unchanged. Non-Address 2 fields ignore the REMOVE action, ensuring that only relevant data is affected. This update makes it easier to maintain clean and accurate address records across the platform.

UI Cleanup

We’ve modernized the Family & Member pages by removing outdated grey backgrounds. All view and edit screens now feature a clean white background, improving readability and consistency across the platform.

Allow Kenedy and Parish Statistics to Run Across Multiple Organizations

A new “Run report for all my organizations” checkbox on the Kenedy and Parish Statistics pages now allows users to generate reports that include data from every organization where they have assignments and reporting rights. Users may still run reports for a single organization as needed. This update simplifies unified reporting for diocesan and multi‑parish users.

Bug Fixes

API Update for IQ Address Data

A defect was resolved in which API updates caused City/State/Zip information to disappear from IQ queries. IQ now reliably displays full address data after API updates, ensuring accurate reporting.

Check Number Wrap Issue

We’ve fixed an issue where long check numbers in contribution statements were cut off due to wrapping in the second column. Statements now display all check numbers correctly.
