This article walks through sending a voice message from the Communication module.
Access the Communication Module
- From the left navigation menu, select Communication.
- The Messages list opens, showing existing messages and a New Message button.
Start a New Voice Message
- From the Messages list, select New Message.
- Choose Voice.
- Select Next to continue.
Select Recipients
- Under Who do you want to send it to?, select a recipient type: Family, Member, Member Workgroup, or Family Workgroup.
- In the list that opens, use the search field to find a recipient, or scroll to browse.
- Select the checkbox next to each recipient to add, then select Done.
- Select Next to continue.
Create the Voice Message
- Enter a Subject.
- Choose how to create the message: Voice Recording or Text to Voice.
Option A: Record Your Voice
- On the Voice Recording tab, select the microphone icon to start recording.
- Select Use Recording once you're done.
Option B: Convert Typed Text to Voice
- Select the Text to Voice tab.
- Enter your message in the Message field.
- Select Convert to Voice.
- An audio player appears so you can listen to the converted message. Select Update to re-convert your text if you want to make changes, or select Use Recording to continue.
Preview and Send the Voice Message
- Review the Message Title and Recipients, and use the audio player to listen to the Voice Message before sending.
- Select Send to send the message immediately, or select Schedule to send it later.
Confirm the Message Was Sent
After you select Send, a confirmation appears, and you're returned to the Messages list. The new message appears at the top of the list, tagged Voice, with a Preparing status label while it's being delivered, and an audio player so you can play it back directly from the list.
