Sent Message Analytics

This article walks through viewing delivery analytics for a sent message in the Communication module, syncing the latest results, and exporting or following up with recipients.

Open a Sent Message

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Communication.
  2. From the Messages list, select the message you want to review.

The message opens showing the Message tab, with the original content and any inbound replies from recipients.

View Delivery Analytics

  1. Select the Analytics tab.
  2. The Analytics tab opens with Message Details (who sent it, when, notification settings, segmentation, and priority) followed by delivery metrics. The metrics shown depend on the message type:
    • Email: Sent, Delivered, Opened, Unopened, Clicked, Spam Reported, Bounced, and Unsubscribed, each with a rate.
    • Text: Sent, Delivered, Pending, Failed, and Opted Out.
    • Voice: Intended Recipients, Actual Calls, Answered Calls, Unanswered Calls, and how the call was answered (Human, Machine, Fax, or Unknown Device).

Review Individual Recipients

  1. Scroll to the Recipients section below the metrics.
  2. Use the status tabs (for example, All, Sent, Delivered, Opened for email; Answered and Unanswered for voice) to filter the list by outcome.
  3. Use Search by last name, Search by email address or phone number, or Select Group to find a specific recipient.

Sync the Latest Results

  1. In the Recipients section, select Sync to refresh delivery results.

Export Recipient Results

  1. Select the checkbox next to each recipient you want to export, or select the header checkbox to select everyone on the page.
  2. Select Export Selection.

Follow Up With a Segment of Recipients

  1. Scroll to the Send Email to Segment (or Send Text to Segment / Send Voice to Segment) section below the Recipients table.
  2. Under Segment, choose the outcome you want to target, such as Unopened or Bounced.
  3. Select Create Message to start a new message addressed to just that segment.
