Renew Expiring and Expired SEP Requirements

The system automatically checks the status of requirements daily and issues an expiring notification for requirements whose term is set to end within the next 30 days. This article shows you how to create a new requirement for an expiring or expired one.

Important: You must have Individual Requirements + View Detail + Modify permissions to perform this task.

Note:  It is not possible to update the record for a requirement that has expired or is set to expire soon. You must create a new requirement record. Follow your organization's policies and procedures for renewing requirements. For example, your organization may require you to wait until the existing requirement expires before creating a replacement. In contrast, other organizations allow you to create a new requirement before the existing one expires.

  1. On the Home page, click the Individuals tile to open the Individuals page.
  2. The page opens in grid view. To view the page in card view, click card view button.png.
  3. Find the individual with expiring and/or expired requirements. To do this, open the Filters panel and set the filters in the Requirement State group to Expiring and/or Expired

The Individuals grid refreshes and displays the names of individuals that match your search criteria.
  4. Click X icon.png to close the Filters panel. Alternatively, click your mouse on the shaded area on the left to close the panel.
  5. Complete the following to renew a requirement:
    1. Click an individual's name link to open their record.
    2. Scroll down to the Requirements panel.
    3. Click add icon.png to open a new requirement record.
    4. Enter information into the fields. For descriptions of the fields, go to Fields on the Requirements Panel.
    5. Click save icon.png or Save Changes.png.

The system adds the new requirement to the individual's profile. If you are renewing an expiring requirement, the system deactivates the existing one and replaces it with the new one.

If desired, you can click button_ToggleViewInactiveRequirements.png to view all of the inactive requirements in the individual's record.
