This article will walk you through setting up Family Suite On Behalf Of pledge integration with your ParishSOFT Giving.
Important: Your ParishSOFT Giving account needs to be integrated with your ParishSOFT Family Suite account before the On Behalf Of pledges can be set up. The ChMS Integration article will walk you through completing that process.
Development Manager Setup
- Log into Development Manager and click the Funds card or select Funds from the left navigation bar.
- Search for the required pledge fund using the search bar.
- If you have not yet created the pledge fund, follow the instruction in the How to Set Up a Fund to Require Pledges article to do so.

- Click the fund name to open the fund details page to add the Parish Goals
- Follow the instructions in the How to Add Individual Goals to a Fund Using the Add Goal Button article

ParishSOFT Giving Setup
- Open ParishSOFT Giving and click on Fund Management on the left navigation bar
- The pledge fund needs to be created on the Fund Management page. If the fund has already been created skip to step 3.
- If you have not created the fund in ParishSOFT Giving, follow the instructions in the Add & Edit Fund Designations article to learn how to add a new fund.
- On the Fund Management page click the blue +Add button in the top right corner and select Pledge Drive from the dropdown menu.
- Fill in the Pledge Drive window. Required fields are:
- Pledge Drive Name
- Fund
- Goal Amount
- End Date
- The pledge drive will now display in the Pledge Drive list.
- Click the Forms icon on the left navigation bar to open the Form Manager
- Click the blue +Create New Form button in the top corner of the page to create the pledge form.
- Scroll down the form template list and select Pledge Drive.
- Enter the form name and click the Start Building Form button.
- Once the pledge drive form opens, click the gear icon to the right of the Pledge Drive Card in the form.
- This opens the field properties for the Pledge Drive. On this window click the Allow on behalf of and Validation checkbox and select the appropriate fund from the Pledge Drive dropdown list.
- Click Done once that is completed.
- Click Done once that is completed.
Note: If Allow on behalf of is not showing on this screen you likely have not mapped the pledge drive fund from Development Manager. Follow the instructions on Mapping Funds.
- Click Form Properties at the bottom of the page.
- In the Form Properties window click the Payment tab and pick a fund from Total Amount drop down list.
- We recommend clicking the checkbox for Enable Recurring Payments and Apply Optional or Required Fee for Payment.
- We recommend clicking the checkbox for Enable Recurring Payments and Apply Optional or Required Fee for Payment.
- Next click the Email tab and enter the return email address for the form receipt.
- Click Done to save your changes.
- Click Done to save your changes.
- Your pledge form is now completed. You can add other fields and make additional updated to the form.

Parishioners will not be able to select any parishes with goals set under the pledge fund when they navigate to the live pledge form.
